                                B. Begins by sailing south towards Africa.

                                C. Bartholomew Dias, becomes the first man to sail around the Cape of Good Hope.

V. Other Claims

                1. Hernando Cortes, conquers the Aztecs, which is Mexico.

                2. Vasco de Gama, went to India, around the Cape of Good Hope for Portugal.

                3. Amerigo Vespucci, his letters and trips get the name Americas.

                4. Pedro Cabral, claims what is today Brazil for Portugal.

                5. Christopher Columbus,  from Genoa Italy, sailed for Portugal found Cuba.

                6. Bartholomew Dias, sailed for Portugal, first sailed around to the Cape of Good Hope.

                7. Ferdinand Magellan, the captain left from Spain in 1521, dies in Philippians, but his crew return to England in 1522, and complete going around the world the fist people to do so.  

                8. Francisco Prizzaro, from Spain, conquered the Incans whichs is the current location of Peru. 

                9. John Cabot, a Englishman finds the mouth of the Hudson Bay, and the mother load of fish.
